As some of you may already know, I’m off to Sweden on Wednesday morning. It’s about time I left London, even if it is only for a few days. I’ll be back on Sunday night so in total I will be there for 5 days and 4 nights.
I’m flying to Gothenburg on Wednesday morning (My flight is at 07:10 so I have to wake up around 03:30, which isn’t an ideal start, but I suppose it has to be done because the only alternative was a flight which didn’t arrive in Sweden until 23:30).
So I will be staying two nights in Gothenborg with Marie who has promised to take me to the pub quiz at Paddington’s, which should be fun! I’ve been to Gothenborg only once before and went to Paddington’s once too but I didn’t know they had a quiz night! It is a nice pub with lots of football shirts on the wall so it is definitely my kind of place!
Also while in Gothenburg I plan to see a bit more of the city as I didn’t really get the chance to do that before, and of course buy lots of snus! It will be great to see Marie as well of course, although she has warned me that I will be woken up early in the morning by Emelie! But at least it will be nice to have an alarm that works for a change.
For the second part of my Sweden itinerary, I’ll be getting the train over to Stockholm on Friday afternoon. I’m told that the train journey travels across some of the countryside and the scenery makes for a rather enjoyable journey.
I am really looking forward to this part of the trip as I have never been to Stockholm before. I will be meeting up with Bjorn there and also meeting his girlfriend Sanna for the first time as well. So I look forward to seeing all the best places that Stockholm has to offer! While I’m there, I’ll also try to track down my friend Kim and see if he wants to catch up over a few beers.
So this week will be a busy one! You probably won’t hear from me until next Monday when I’ll return to write up about my trip and share my pictures!
So until then, be good. And I’ll see you all soon.
